The CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice is your first stage of academic training towards becoming a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer. This part of the qualification is assessed by 5 units, 2 of which are mandatory professional skills courses, designed to help you deal with clients and access legal data. Once you have completed this stage you can then select an area of law you would wish to begin studying, and a practice unit which will be directly linked to this area of law and move to the second stage of academic training by working towards the CILEx Level 3 Diploma in Law and Practice.
The Diploma is the second part of the Level 3, you will once again study 5 units, although these units will depend heavily on the area of law you studied for at certificate level. At this stage of the qualification you will study all areas of law, along with 1 or 2 linked practice units, depending on whether you choose one of the non-manadatory law options or not.
